Miss Zynna Efthymiou
Family Liaison Worker
I have held the position of Family Liaison worker since the post was created in September 2016 and before this worked for a number of years at Ickburgh school as a Special Needs Assistant.
As Family Liaison I am able to assist parents with filling forms and applications such as Disability Living Allowance (DLA), Personal Independence Payments (PIP), Tax Credit Applications, Applications for Therapies, Family Fund Applications, Transport, Free School Meals, Short Breaks or referrals when needed. Parents/carers can contact me any time during the day or can book to see me in person.
I am also here for new parents to assist with visits to the school and the admissions and settling in process.
An interesting and varied timetable of Parent Groups and Workshops are arranged on a termly basis so please make sure you regularly check your Parent Group Timetable. These include some workshops that are training focused, such as the Makaton Workshop, Toileting, Safer Handling and ESOL assessment. In addition to these at least one Coffee Morning per term is held to discuss the curriculum topics and current school news. Make sure you come along, keep up to date and have your say.
Your Family Liaison Worker is your first point of contact so let me know if you have any concerns or issues, I am here to help.
