Mayor of Hackney Music Awards 2021-22
We are so proud as a school and music department to win both of the Mayor of Hackney's Geoff Taylor Music for SEND Awards.
The SEND awards are named after former Hackney councillor and speaker Geoff Taylor who passed away in 2019, a talented musician and ex-teacher who served on Hackney council for 16 years.
Our pupil David Oyebanjo won the Geoff Taylor SEND Pupil Award, enabling funding to buy David a bass guitar and lessons for a year!
We also won the Geoff Taylor SEND Project Award enabling us to buy more musical equipment for our sensory learners.
We had a magical evening at the Town Hall where David picked up his certificate, Well done David!!
Mayor of Hackney Music Awards 2022-23
Once again we are so proud again that our pupil, Taiwo, has won the Mayor of Hackneys Geoff Taylor SEND Award 2022/23 for his outstanding keyboard playing. Taiwo will receive funding to buy a keyboard to practise at home and a years worth of keyboard lessons! Fantastic work Taiwo!

Mayor of Hackney Awards 2023-2024
We had another fantastic night at this years awards and we were so proud to see our pupil Joel Seto win the Geoff Taylor SEN music award! Well done Joel and a credit to the music department for winning the award 3 years in a row! Joel received funding for a new bass guitar to take home and additional music lessons in school! Amazing!
