Cost of Living Crisis support

Advice from Shoreditch Trust
Firstly, the council's Find Support Services map/directory with anyone:
This is a resource to do a local keyword search.

Also, in terms of financial advice and support, the Fair Money Advice of Fair Finance is a local service that has a number of ways in which residents can contact for advice or support

If anyone in the school community is facing debt and needs face to face advice or support, they may wish to know that their GP surgery may have advice worker slots to book in to, sometimes via the social prescriber. Also, children's centres tend to have a Citizens Advice Bureau slot at regular times.

Lastly, the council has created the Hackney Money Hub for any resident facing financial difficulties and this now incorporates their 'discretionary payments', grants for residents in need, that for example could help with replacing a washing machine etc. Residents can self-refer but will have had to complete an online Turn2Us calculator first.
